Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7:45 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (912) 355-5901. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, dentistryforchildrensavannah.com.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 572 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pediatric dentists in Savannah.

Went here as a referral. It was a hr drive for emergency visit for my son. I was a little worried because they were crazy busy. But that seem to be normal there from my understanding. I like that they had a movie theater like room for the family which is were we sat during to the amount of people. Good thing is that they move fast. We literally only waited like 20 mins. The back was so kid friendly and welcoming. The doctor did great my child was at ease. They even offered a toy from their little treasure box. I may consider switching all our kids there. Its worth it, because if the service is good and my kids are comfortable while there its a good choice.

I must say I have been bringing my kids here sense they first had teeth. I have never had any problems. Now im not sure what's going on, the wait time for the kids to be seen is so long. We be here for hours. Today I have a 8:45 appointment i was told that was my arrival time. We have been here sense 8:30 am. She told me my appointment was at 9:30. And i had to wait until 9:30 to be seen. When my email and text messages say 8:45 am. So i have to wait a whole hour; make that make sense. When I left the last time I made this appointment and asked for the earliest one , but I guess they still did not do what I asked. Not happy with this at all.

Today my son (7) had a scheduled appointment, for which with drove over an hour to get to. This office had PLENTY of information that my son was autistic. When we scheduled the appointment was asked about his autism and if he would be comfortable going alone to the back. It was verified that he WOULD NOT be. Yet today because my son was not comfortable going to the back by himself we were turned away from our scheduled appointment, and told that we would have to reschedule 9 months later for their β€œprivate room” Mind you this is DURING AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH. Very unaware or even caring that a child with autism would need to be accommodated for cases of the child not wanting to go back by themselves. Furthermore a nasty older lady trying to make it seem like I did something wrong when scheduling his appointment. What is the purpose of asking about autism when it’s clear you don’t give a damn. I will be reaching out to as many news sources and outlets and to the BBB about the absolute disgusting experience my son and I endured here.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience at this office. My five-year-old son has significant anxiety in medical settings, and instead of being met with patience or understanding, he was labeled as β€œridiculous” by staff. That comment was inappropriate and unprofessional, especially toward a young child who was clearly overwhelmed. My son has multiple cavities that require treatment. Rather than offering appropriate behavior management options, sedation, or referral to a pediatric dentist experienced with anxious children, we were told they would not treat him. We were then offered the option to have his teeth removed, but informed that they would not place spacers afterward. The doctor also stated that without spacers, his teeth would likely shift significantly because his adult teeth may take years to come in. Being presented with extraction as a primary solution β€” while also being told that it could cause long-term alignment issues β€” was extremely concerning. Families with anxious children deserve compassionate, solution-focused care and appropriate referrals when needed β€” not judgment or limited options that may create future dental complications. I would not recommend

Dr. J is truly amazing when I tell you I was so nervous my palms were sweaty, and I was sweating πŸ₯΅ only because I was nervous, but Dr. Jason did a phenomenal job. He has a great sense of humor and makes you feel at home. He’s friendly and has a great sense of humor from here on out thanks to him. I love the dentist now πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡
